Getting Started

         Either in your initial phone call with our director, or in your personal interview at the center, we will review your plans and goals for your child. Assessments are done by private appointment.  Please call us, or send along your contact information through our contact us section.  If you have been referred by another family and know you wish to register, or wish to take advantage of our online discount, you can preregister on our home page. 

           At the initial evaluation we will work with your child to get an understanding of his or her strengths and weaknesses. This evaluation is free for our drop-in program. * Our job at this point is to relax your student, get an understanding of where he or she should begin the practice routine, and to answer questions you or your student may have. As we tell students, this is a chance for us to understand what is 'easy or hard' for them, and to see where practice might help. We also tell them that we want them to start at a point that will feel easy, as our goal is to have each student achieve mastery of subject matter, rather than merely touching on a given concept.
